The legendary event that dresses the delightful town of Valeggio sul Mincio every year has a name, the feast of the love knot, a highly anticipated appointment that the 20 June 2023 in the magical setting of the Visconteo bridge in Borghetto, a hamlet of Valeggio sul Mincio, the most fascinating dinner show in the world will take place.
A real outdoor dinner for approx 3300 people sitting on a set table more than a kilometer long to celebrate the real Tortellino of Valeggio sul Mincio.
This dinner show, now in its 24th edition, draws inspiration from the story of the thwarted love between the nymph Silvia and Captain Malco whose passion is represented by a lovingly knotted yellow silk cloth.
It is precisely this love knot that inspires the circa 900.000 tortellini, rigorously handmade and served during dinner on the historic bridge.
The dinner menu aims to be a ballet of flavors and aromas in the name of the zero kilometer of Verona and the entire town.
In past editions we have therefore been able to taste various dishes alongside the true protagonist which is always the Tortellino di Valeggio, the famous Grana Padano and Monte Veronese DOP remain imprinted in my mind, which in recent years has helped give life to two delights, the Scrigno di Silvia together with potatoes and rosemary and the Tesoro di Malco combined with asparagus and Garda DOP oil.
The surprises don't just end in the dishes, in fact at the end of the evening thousands of flambeaux will be lit, that in tune with the sounds and colors of the wonderful fireworks, they will be able to amaze and excite the spectators like every year.
A dutiful thank you goes to the Restaurateurs Association which has been working for over 25 years with passion, dedication, Amore del Territorio is responsible for organizing and managing this event which has now an international scope, which is placed as the spearhead within a food and wine and hotel promotion plan of our wonderful territory.
