Good morning everyone ,
in this wonderful month of February we decided to take a trip to the mountains for a few days and we chose the Dolomites as an exclusive destination for expert skiers, spa lovers and clearly lovers of good food and good wine... and good oil.
We arrive in the charming town of Madonna di Campiglio, perhaps the most glamorous, loved by VIPs and footballers and we begin our tour among restaurants and refuges in search of typical recipes and good wine.
We were immediately recommended a restaurant, the legendary Volt de la Baita, we enter, they let us sit and bring us a taste of Garda DOP oil, delightful, Valtenesi area, delicate and herbaceous.
Below are recipes from Trentino and Lake Garda such as tench risotto with Garda lemon and Garda DOP oil or grilled char ,Gargnano capers and Garda DOP oil.
We finish on a high note with three hay grappas and prepare for a nice day in the sauna between baths ,massages and infusions.
The next day we ski all morning and decide to stop in the coolest refuge of the moment, Chalet Spinale.
A little’ of traffic to get a table but thanks to a friend we manage to have a beautiful table in the private area where lunch is served without self service.
Ottima location ,right music and there he is again... our beloved Garda DOP oil on all the restaurant tables.
This time it is a slightly stronger Trentino Garda DOP extra virgin olive oil that goes better with the salted meat , with sliced venison and low-temperature egg with flakes of black truffle.
At this point we decide to try a starred restaurant the evening before leaving and we decide to go to the Gallo Cedrone restaurant with a Michelin star.
Surprise of surprises (not for us) once again recipes and DOP Garda oil on the table.
The oil is a Caldera fifty fifty on the table that delights the palates of the diners.
Moral of our short trip to Madonna di Campiglio... whether it's a restaurant, a refuge or a starred restaurant, if it's quality our Garda DOP oil will have.
Happy Garda Oil to everyone.
